The membership in Philippine College of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (PCEDM) shall consist of the following categories
VOTING MEMBERS
- Founding Fellows
- Life Fellows
- Fellows (Regular Fellows)
- Diplomates
NON-VOTING MEMBERS
- Associate
- Corporate Members
FOUNDING FELLOWS
Members included in the first roster of membership of the corporation upon its inception shall be classified as founding fellows and diplomates. They be exempted from payment for all membership dues.
LIFE FELLOWS
Members of corporation who have served as Past Presidents of the corporation are entitled to Life Fellowship. They shall be exempted from payment of all membership dues.
REGULAR FELLOWS
A Regular Fellow in the corporation shall meet the following requirements:
- He must be a Diplomate of the corporation in good standing at least two consecutive years.
- He must be endorsed in writing by two fellows of the corporation in good standing.
- He must pay the prescribed processing fees which shall be applied to the corresponding member dues for the first year if the application is approved.
- His application must be approved by a majority vote of the Board of Trustees.
DIPLOMATES
A Diplomate in the corporation shall meet the following additional requirements:
- He must be certified as Diplomate in the Internal Medicine by the Philippine Specialty Board of Internal Medicine.
- He must be an associate member of good standing for at least two years prior to the certifying examination.
- He must have completed all other requirements for Diplomate as prescribed by the PSBEDM
- He must have passed both oral and written examination given by the PSBEDM
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
- An Associate Membership must be a Filipino, duly licensed to practice medicine in the Philippines and actively engaged in the field of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
- He must have satisfactorily completed his residency training in the Internal Medicine in a training program duly accredited by the Philippine College of Physicians or its equivalent abroad as deemed appropriate by the Board of Trustees of the corporation.
- He must have satisfactory completed fellowship training in Endocrinology in a training program duly accredited by the Philippine College of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Inc or its equivalent abroad as deemed appropriate by the Board of Trustees of the corporation.
- He must be of good moral character and ethical standing in the profession.
- His application must be endorsed by at least two () fellows in good standing in the corporation.
- The application shall be addressed to the Board of Trustees of the corporation accompanied by the payment of the processing fee, which shall be applied to the membership fee for the year the application is approved.
CORPORATE MEMBERS
- Any corporation with a special Interest in Endocrinology may apply for corporate membership in the corporation
- The application shall be addressed to the Board of Trustees of the corporation accompanied by a payment of the joining fee in all the scientific activities of the society
- A memorandum of Agreement between the corporation and the Corporate Member shall be signed evidencing the Corporate Member’s commitments to the corporation.
- Corporate membership may be terminated by at least two (2/3) vote of the Board of Trustees of the corporation in a meeting duly called for the purpose for commission of acts inimical to the corporation or for the Corporate Member’s failure to fulfill its commitments.
